    • Soestdijk Palace

    When in 1980 Princess Beatrix was crowned queen, Soestdijk Palace lost its status as royal residence. Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard continued to reside here until their deaths in 2004. Since 1971 the Palace has been the property of the state. It is expected to receive a new role and in the meantime is now temporarily opened to the public.

    Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park (6,000 ha) is situated largely on a wooded glacial ridge that was formed in the last Ice Age. Forest covers most of the ridge, although there a few heaths and bog pools and shifting sands.

    Spakenburg The Old Harbour of Spakenburg, situated in the centre of the village. The authentic slipway with all its activity makes the historic Dutch decor. Many high-lows together one third of the total laced-boats in The Netherlands have their own home base here and their supported there. The Old Harbour exists as long as Spakenburg does, that excited around the 13th century. The community of The Old Harbour is pointed as museum harbour however in spite of that there is more space for transients in the direction of the Eemmeer.

    "De Willigen" Cheese and Ice cream Farm Going by boat to cheese farm De Willigen, situated on the river Vecht, that unique river with its wonderful old mansions between the villages Vreeland and Nigtevecht. The farm has a fine landing stage at channel depth. On this over one century old farm, the farmers Rijk and David Willig (father and son) tend the farms app. 70 cows and the meadows.
