Eleven Cities of Fryslân, each with its own charm:
Signs of the rich trading history and early seafaring are evident everywhere in the Eleven Cities of Fryslân, each of which has its own unique charm. The cities vary in size: Sloten has 900 inhabitants, while Leeuwarden, the capital, has 90.000. That’s why it’s such an experience to visit every one of the Eleven Cities. It probably won’t be possible to participate in the famous Eleven Cities Tour on ice skates but the tour can also be done by bicycle, on a boat, by car or even on foot.

The total trip is +/- 200 km. which you can do by car, walking or by bicycle. If you let us know how many days you like to spend for this unique experience and we arrange the right route with B&B-Hotel arrangements.
An example: Start in Leeuwarden and visit the first day 'Sneek' and IJlst. Total 26 km. >>> Second day your first stop is 'Sloten' and the next 'Balk'. The last part of this day is to 'Stavoren', where you stay for the night. Total 40 km. >>> Day 3, first stop is to 'Hindelopen' and further to 'Workum' and to 'Bolsward'. Total 33 km. >>> Next morning we go to 'Harlingen' and 'Franeker', 30 km. >>> The last day of this trip is 47 km. to 'Dokkum'.
